I grew up Southern Baptist. I joke that I'm still in recovery. It was a very abusive, cult-like church. They used to tell me my father, a non-believer, was going to hell. I begged Dad to come watch when my choir performed & my church buddies would pray that he would be saved. I went to a pool party after church one Sunday and my bikini was scandalous! One of the girls gave me a T-shirt to cover up my itty bitty titties. Can't rile up those church boys with my 14 year old bod.

@minkekj Good question and hello my Republican friend! She is talking about Dems and how we are quick to blame white women for Trump's election because 53% of white women voted for him. She's saying that while that's true, even more white men voted for him. That's where we should focus @minkekj our attention, out ire, our efforts. It speaks to how strong the preference is for white men in this country. We center our language and customs around them. This does not make any individual white man "bad" which is how I think some men hear this.

Women know. We nod and share our stories. Almost every woman has at least 1 story of sexual harassment, abuse, or rape. I have many. 1/ Seriously stop/think about that for a sec. Almost every woman you know has been hassled, harrassed, touched, grabbed, felt up, or raped. 2/
