As news of Junaid & Nasir's death broke, Monu Manesar released a statement denying any role of Bajrang Dal in the incident.

Alt News dug into the social media accounts of two of the accused in this case and found many strong links to the outfit, and to Monu Manesar. Rinku Saini, an accused in the case, was arrested on February 17.
There are several posts on Facebook congratulating Rinku on becoming the chief of the cow protection team for Bajrang Dal Mewat at a provincial meeting in Kurukshetra. All these posts are from January 22 and 23.
