The failures of the last 12 months have given crypto a really bad rep:

• SVB / USDC

But few recognize that these were not "failures of crypto". In fact, ALL of these were failures of poorly regulated, centralized systems.

If there's a lesson to be learned from these failures, it's not that "Crypto is bad" (as mainstream media and governments have decided after last year).

When you apply for immigration visas, they ask for ALL kinds of documents – education credentials, bank statements, etc

They're trying to mitigate risk, but they ask for PDFs / JPEG as proof... 😳

PDFs & JPEGs are not designed as systems of proofs - they are too easy to forge. Always makes me think of this NFT use case.

NFTs are infinitely better than PDFs or JPEGs when it comes to providing a guarantee of authenticity.
