My PlayStation 25th anniversary story begins awkwardly. I nor my family could afford a PS1 so we hired one (with a full deposit) from Blockbuster video. I had one joyous weekend with Ridge Racer and Battle Arena Toshinden... Eventually I saved up my pocket money and picked up a PSOne immediately realising I found horror games impossible to play (even though I’m ok with horror films). Resident Evil was beyond intense (On PSVR, 3 generations later. Not a chance!).

Just about to start @TheMorningShow again. Saturday night in whilst visiting mum for the first time since lockdown. Mum had “never heard of it” which isn’t a surprise as whilst Apple TV only for 5 months she’s rarely inside the TV app. Impressions to come... .

Yes mum! Something I hadn’t noticed the first time round was how well written the interaction between Alex and Mitch was. The first 20 mins of E01 is likely what got critics to mistakingly write off the show...

1st to report @LGUS’s intention to bring HomeKit & AirPlay2 to older TVs after contact with their Euro press team, my report prompted a statement of denial to press. A year later LG announce support only to then backtrack again 4 months later. Poor show & explanations needed. .

•Fit is secure compared to standard tips.
•⚠️tips (all sizes) expand to a point that the contact for charging AirPods is very hit & miss leaving you no charge on occasion.
•Sorry but can’t recommend 😢 To note. Comply’s customer support have been incredibly helpful over the past few months and even sent a replacement set. Sadly the problem with the their AirPods Pro tips remain. Seems to be an inherent flaw in this first iteration. Hoping they figure things out in the future.

If this ends up being what I think it is then I’m giddy with excitement. The Apple TV needs to be for everyone. tvOS has already done so much in terms of accessibility but this could lead to great things with regard to content. Nothing inside yet but does look promising for tvOS, Siri and Third Party apps.

WWDC opening keynote doesnt go live on this side of the pond until 6pm and its a busy day. Interested to know what everyone’s up to in the lead up to the big event so I figured I’d share my day up until the moment the stream starts and we have more exciting thing to talk about. Apparently ALF is making a return at least in video game form but surely thats not the end of the story. This news sparked many YouTube clip searches over breakfast. Hi everyone. I have some sad news. My stepfather passed away this week from this horrible disease that’s striking the world currently. The hardest part of this all has been not being able to huge my mother and giver her the support she needs at this time. She is my overwhelming priority in this moment.

Time for some quick takes: ‘The World According to Jeff Goldblum’. I just love this guys brain. Art style is fantastic, as is the pacing and humour. Didn’t learn to much I didn’t know about “Sneakers” but an overall typically well polished show.

Happy to share that the new layout for @screentimesnet is up. It still needs a little refinement and I’ve seen a few issues that will get sorted over time but there’s more to come... The idea was to get readers to content quicker and I think the new design achieves that.

Absolute hyperbaul of course but with Shawn Layden departing SCE after 30 years there’s been speculation that Apple could purchase Sony Pictures & Sony PlayStation but wouldn’t the entire business make more sense? Sony are currently valued at over $70 Billion with a running cost of around $7.5 Billion. Their PlayStation division turns over $20 Billion a year.

A Philips hue user of 7 years, I’ve seen the product lines increase in quality over time. The one thing Ive wanted from my investment in hue lights was a way to sync them with my Apple TV and todays surprise announcement of the Hue Play HDMI Sync box makes that want a reality... It was just this week, that I was contemplating routing my Apple TV HDMI signal through an uncertified HDCP non-compliant splitter and then using hues Mac app to process the light sync.

Subscriptions: #DisneyPlus did it right by allowing D23 members to pay upfront. #AppleMusic Family needs to offer annual pricing like it does for a single account. Same goes with #AppleTVPlus and #AppleArcade. I’m not asking for discounts but for an easier way to gift or receive. Following that thought...
