How do very rich people feel about the uk's recent budget?

I am one so let me tell you exactly how I feel.

I hope this makes you angry. I'm the kind of person the government believes will boost the economy by cutting taxes and regulation.

You can remix Music and Art.

But you can't remix NFTs... yet.

Here's why Soulcast is going to be an industry defining platform: 1/ NFTs have become a new paradigm for short-form media over the last two years.

Whilst this new form of technology (this is a technology, not a monkey picture!) has had many critics and downsides, such as scams & IP infringement, the genie is out of the bottle.

Tiffany & Co are selling 250 NFTs that also give the buyer a handcrafted pendant, exclusively for CryptoPunk holders.

Punk holders will have to pay 30 ETH to get one.

Is this a cash grab or a smart brand NFT drop?

A thread from me – someone who sold a Punk for $11.7m in 2021🧵 1/ First of all, Tiffany & Co are a multi billion dollar a year revenue company.

The amount of money this might make them, is in reality, a drop in the ocean.

This seems pretty clear to me to be an experiment.

Mini thread for you Joey

Firstly there is *nothing wrong* with collecting for financial reasons as well as anything else. Let's put that to bed right now. It happens throughout collecting and trading. It's the norm in sports memorabilia but full of issues. I've owned sports memorabilia then later found out the reputable dealer was then alleged to have sold certified work which was known to be forged.

NFTs remove the authenticity issue. They can also do that even with physical items, subject to some extra work.

1. Covid Alien #cryptopunk #nft sale - (more info - my Clubhouse tomorrow 10pm BST - NFT Rants)

My journey started in 2013 when I came to a realisation about Bitcoin - it could be used to send digital items! I even designed how to do it using a protocol similar to Counterparty. 2. When Ethereum first came out, I wrote a smart contract that could put all the Magic the Gathering cards on-chain, including all their data and a URL image link. I calculated it would cost $20k to do! Not money I had at the time, however.

NFTs: A brief primer about the new creative economy for brands and creatives, a thread inspired by @jamieburke of @outlierventures. Follow the white rabbit and your world will change. The simplest way to view NFTs is as digital collectibles. Unlike Fortnite skins or Kindle books, both digital collectibles even if that may surprise you, NFTs are fully controlled by their owner rather than Epic or Amazon
