Today in his speech PM Modi made a point that 1,000 years ago, a small kingdom fell & we enslavement of this country began. Those who came looted us, ruled us.
So a 1,000 years ago what was India?
Dr Ambedkar in his book, Pakistan or Partition of India writes. (Page 35-36)
‘It is true that when Hsuan Tsang came (he was a Chinese Pilgrim who visited India in 7th century AD), not only the Punjab, but what is now Afghanistan was part of India & further, the people of Punjab & Afghanistan were either Vedic or Buddhist by religion. But what happened since Hsuan Tsang left India.”
Dr Ambedkar further writes, “The most important thing that has happened is the invasion of India by the Muslim hordes from the north-west. The first Muslim invasion of India was by the Arabs who were led by Mohd Bin Qasim. It took place in 711 AD & resulted in the conquest of Sind.”
So what happened in Sindh?
Dr Ambedkar in his book on Page 37 writes,
“These Muslim invasions were not undertaken merely out of lust for loot or conquest. There was another object behind them. The expedition against Sindh by Mohd Bin Qasim was of a punitive character and was undertaken to punish Raja Dahir of Sindh who had refused to make restitution for the seizure of an Arab ship at Debul, one of the sea-port towns of Sindh. But there is no doubt that striking a blow at the idolatry and polytheism of Hindus and establishing Islam in India was also one of the aims of this expedition.”

I assume there wud be some staff working in the @mybmcedu Dept of @mybmc which is the richest Municipal corporation in India, yet they let go an opportunity where BMC’s education model is being awarded & a pvt individual collects the award on their behalf. Why? @Dev_Fadnavis
Here the question isn’t why @Francis_Joseph collected the award on behalf of @mybmcedu but the question is why none from @mybmc were present or didn’t accompany Francis while the award was being received? Was the BMC not informed about the award? @mieknathshinde

Saw many questioning Atalji’s contribution to this Country & city after I suggested that Coastal Road be named after him. These Ppl who have a problem with Atalji’s name had sealed their lips when MVA named an award after Rajiv Gandhi. Sea-link is also named after him right.
We have a national park named after Sanjay Gandhi within Mumbai, what was his contribution for the Park?
Atalji is the father of Morden infrastructure of India. It is he who not only thought but implemented the idea of connecting the entire country with good roads.

Why ED knocked Sanjay Raut’s house on a Sunday?
As a journalist who has covered Mumbai’s real estate sector for close to two decades, whenever I hear Patra Chawl, otherwise known as Siddharth Nagar, the faces of hundreds of residents flash in front of me.
Today I write again as Patra Chawl has become the major reason for ED knocking the doors of Sanjay Raut. In the last one decade or more, many residents of Patra Chawl located in Mumbai’s Goregaon area have contacted me, to write their ordeal and I did too.

The escape of #ShivSena Min #GulabraoPatil from Mumbai to Guwahati is a script from Bollywood. Apparently Patil went unreachable first, then an entire troop of ShivSainiks started looking for him, they went to hotel where MLAs were staying, only to find him missing from there.
The search party that kept on roaming on the streets of South Mumbai entire night was under a lot of pressure from senior leaders of the ShivSena to get Patil at any cost and make him speak to CM #UddhavThackeray the search party was now getting restless

For those not familiar with Maharashtra politics let me tell you a small thing about Eknath Shinde, while every fort collapsed or was shaken, Thane always remained intact for Shiv Sena, because Shinde handled Thane district with the same respect as dharmaveer Anand Dighe.
Anand Dighe was the most towering leader of Shiv Sena after Balasaheb Thackeray, his death left a vaccum in Thane that many felt couldn’t be filled, but Shinde an ardent fan of Dighe, held the Shiv Sena strong, he even poached NCP leaders like Sarnaik in Thane
