Why didn’t local Chicago newsrooms report that?

Because it wasn’t true. 👇 The @DailyMail, @DailyMirror + @TheSun — international media w/ huge audiences + reach — state Chicago police officer Ella French was mom to a 2-month-old baby.

The Mail + Mirror don’t cite a source. The Sun cites unnamed reports.

The Daily Mail’s story alone shared 6K+ times.
