Two days after DeSantis removed all statewide restrictions in Florida (forbidding mask fines), Trump’s White House told Hawaii to keep businesses closed, strictly enforce masks and social distancing, and limit in-person schooling.

Hawaii complied with those guidelines. While Trump tweeted things like “Liberate Michigan” and talked about the importance of getting kids in school, his administration did very little to make it happen.

Hawaii students are were locked out of school longer than almost every state (CA, WA, OR). The results are devastating.

“Hawaii’s pandemic learning loss recovery could take years”

I asked ChatGPT to write a country and western song about Trump trying to stop DeSantis from running.

🎶

Verse 1:
Well y'all, it's a story of politics and pride
Of a former President trying to hide
From a Governor down in Florida way
Who's making waves every single day Chorus:
But the Swamp's got a plan, they're trying to keep him down
They don't want no debate, they don't want no showdown
They're scared of what he'll say, about Covid and the rest
They're trying to keep Ron DeSantis from running for the test

‘Trump called DeSantis to tell him to shut down the beaches.

“Ron, what are you doing down there?” Trump said, according to a person briefed on the call.

“I can’t ban people from going on the beach,” DeSantis snapped, surprising Trump.’ ‘“These pictures look really bad to the rest of the country,” Trump said.

“Listen, we’re doing it the right way,” DeSantis said.’

I have finished uploading all covid-associated deaths from 2020 and 2021.

For the first time we can analyze Parts I and II of these death certificates.

A short 🧵

docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d… Here's Chapter C00-C97 on the death certificate, by year, for ages 46-54. This is one of the biggest killers of this age group.

Take note there are no additional deaths.

“This is not something that is a specific change just for Oklahoma,” said Jolianne Stone, Oklahoma’s State Epidemiologist. “This is nationwide.”

This is the most convenient explanation for excess deaths. It was mostly covid. Deaths aren't overcounted. Covid did this. See how it lines up? Our actions didn't kill people.

Put a bowtie on it, lock it away in your mind. Never bring it out again.

Except it's a convenient lie. Image Everyone is getting into this game. "Your Local Epidemiologist" can't let former teammate Leana Wen run around sharing insider healthball.

This is such lazy thinking, and it’s pervasive with fear-based accounts like this one. No consideration of second-order consequences.

Of course most excess is correlated with Covid surges. We scared people away from hospitals. Every single case surge.

Image London saw this at the beginning of the pandemic. CORRELATED. Covid patients couldn’t explain it all.

The CDC released the Public Use File for 2021 mortality. This file has all the identifiable info stripped out but provides additional than WONDER. For example, we get Parts I and II of each death certificate, was there an injury at work, etc...

cdc.gov/nchs/data_acce… Image 29,082 Covid-associated deaths in 2021, ages 0-45.
Here's a link to a google sheet with all of them.

@MiriamETucker @jeffreyatucker Hospitals were not “overrun” in 2020 or 2021. This is the lie that will not go away, in large part because “journalists” refused to do their jobs.

American hospitals housed the fewest patients since WWII, ERs were empty. People died at home, scared to visit the ER. @MiriamETucker @jeffreyatucker “I have never in my lifetime seen so many days of an empty (hospital) emergency department as we did in the initial days of the pandemic,”

‘He said that trend also played out nationwide.

“Fear [of Covid] absolutely played a major role in it”’

There were only 22 more total deaths ages 100+ in June 2020 than in June 2019. Yet there were 195 Covid deaths (160 underlying).

Most people know @GovRonDeSantis since Covid, or maybe just this year.

Some think he’s “just another establishment RINO.” Others are convinced “he’s Trump, but even worse.”

A look at his old tweets ….. Not very establishment 👇
