In another inexorable step towards old-lady status, I bought myself a heated lap blanket. I may never leave the house again. It's AMAZING and costs only 6p per day to run. Cheaper than the heating. Obviously I have to share

If a woman you knew showed up at work with a fat lip and a cut eyebrow; would you ask them about it?

Because zero people have commented on what I think are reasonably obvious injuries. There are people who know I play rugby, but there are lots I've engaged with today who don't.

I'm really surprised that nobody has said anything. This is how DV thrives; when nobody checks in on their colleagues and friends.

OK, let's unpack this.
When I say 'men' in the following tweets, I'm talking about AMAB/socialised as men - i.e. subject to all the bullshit societal expectations of toxic masculinity.

Firstly: men are NOT less emotional than women. 1/ Anyone who's raised a boy in an emotionally rich household will know that they feel exactly the same gamut of emotions as girls do. BUT society comes along with its 'boys don't cry / you run like a girl / be a man / grow a pair' bullshit and wreaks havoc.

Please stop saying Piers Corbyn is mentally ill. All it does is stigmatize those of us who do have diagnosed mental health problems and who aren't out there being dangerous twats. For clarity: I'm not saying he *isn't*. But I'm not a psychiatrist and even if I were, I shouldn't diagnose from a distance.
But this narrative that mental illness must be at the root of conspiracist violence is harmful.
I'm mentally ill. I'm not smashing up testing centres.

I keep seeing pics that make me feel Mr Bee and I are the only people effectively still shielding. We've cancelled our NYE visit to his family, because they have plans to see other people this week. We can vouch for our own negative status, but can't risk that. So we're on our own. I haven't seen a real life mate for weeks. And I can't see it changing any time soon.

Watching people who are all (ostensibly) on the left sling insults at one another instead of presenting a unified opposition is just so fucking depressing. 'Starmeroids', 'Corbynistas', 'Blairites' maybe stop infighting for a goddamn second and take that energy to the Tories. People are fucking dying, ffs.

The internet: orange cats are dumb
Titus, a tabby: i will wedge myself into a gap and then mew piteously about it Titus is a very special cat. He gets lost in the living room, so has to shout for us. He doesn't like direct eye contact, so you have to scritch him with your head turned away. He likes getting his head wedged into things.

To those saying 'I don't care about the royal family' this isn't only about H & M. This couple - wealthy, powerful, privileged - are a proxy for how insidious, embedded and systemic racism is. How much the establishment will close ranks to keep out that which they perceive as 'other'. How devastating it is - something that wealth and power does not shield you from - and how much it ruins people's lives.

Now imagine navigating that without the power and privilege.

I'm tired of seeing men who are the victims of abuse and rape being used as pawns by *other men* in order to shut down conversations about women. They deserve more than that. Violence perpetrated by men against women is a very specific, gendered crime. 'What about male victims' doesn't actually seek to highlight those victims, it is only intended to shut women down.

What if C H O N K but make it horse Image The Ardennes draught horse originates from the Ardennes area of Belgium, Luxembourg, and France. Considered one of the oldest breeds of draught horse, it may be a direct descendent of the prehistoric Solutré Horse.

There is going to be a mental health crisis unlike anything we've seen before. PTSD will be widespread, and look who we've got running the country. When soldiers return from active duty, the TRIM (Trauma Risk Management) system helps deal with issues arising from acclimating back into civilian life. It's designed to provide support in the aftermath of traumatic events. Which is what we have here, on a huge scale.

Tories don't think they're behaving callously towards families in poverty. The genuinely believe, in the way believe things you've been explicitly and implicitly told throughout your life, that poverty is a *punishable moral failing*. 1/ Bad decisions by parents. Drink and drugs. Layabout attitude. Wanting something for nothing.

It's ideological moralising, pure and simple.
(Hypocrisy too, since the majority of these traits are in plain sight amongst the already wealthy.)

I see the Tories have managed to make a massive grift out of free school meals. Featuring the ex CEO of Diageo, Paul Walsh, who used to work with a current cabinet minister. Giving out £6 worth of nutritionally deficient food for £30 cost to taxpayer and the rest goes on 'admin costs'.

WHAT THE FUCK DOES THAT EVEN MEAN The guidelines for exercise have been consistently terrible. In seeking to be less complex, they've created confusion and loopholes. It's also clear they didn't even vaguely try to focus group the recommendations.
