Disastroturfing (v.):

the use of feigned “grassroots” action to weaponize disasters or other instances of collective human suffering via amplification of inauthentic, polarizing messages fraudulently attributed to political opponents. Disastroturfing is primarily initiated and sponsored by politically motivated entities, primarily aimed at deepening political divisions and enhancing partisanship -

I am sick of hearing biased coverage re: Israel while Ukraine is almost entirely ignored.

Israel and Russia are both Mafia States engaged in state-sponsored terrorism. I don't know if Hamas is as mobby, but def. terrorists.

Those governments should ALL be treated accordingly. That said, Israel is only 7.5M (~½ of the world's Jewish population).

Only 1/4 of those (2.4M), mostly the hard right, want Bibi to stay in power (interestingly, ~ the same % of Americans hardcore for Trump).

This clearly is not anti-Jewish sentiment. Image

It's kind of weird that I haven't heard smart people like @AWeissmann_ et al focusing on how Trump defaulted on $640M in debt to Deutsche bank, THEN submitted fraudulent statements to secure future loans. Image of course, maybe I just haven't heard it discussed...
but that - but with Deutsche execs having vowing to never lend to him again - that seems a more significant motivation to falsify statements than simply lower interest rates.

Just lost my thread about I-95 in Philly, so I'll just share these images while I decide if I should write it up again.

Something smelled off, especially because of Higgins' advice to "Know your bridges" two days prior...so I poked around and found even more stink...

familiar? ImageImageImageImage Yup. The I-95 crash was about two blocks from THAT crematorium and adult bookstore-adjacent Four Seasons Total Landscapingwhere Rudy Giuliani held his press conference in 2020. Image

Remember the last time someone in line for the presidency was prosecuted?

This might be more like that than you think.

When I heard female gunman at a private school, this is what that made me think I'd find.

Not to justify, whatsoever... but would be an interesting track for any interested journalists to pursue - racketeering to protect leaders sexually abusing children.

Look for a solution rather than a fight, @ALALibrary :

If some parents are concerned about 'questionable' books, let parents manage their own children's access.

Schools provide 'unsubscriptions' that keep those kids from checking out books parents don't want. Integrate those 'unsubscriptions' into the library management system, and if a student tries to check out a book they shouldn't, simply don't allow attempts to check out books to be completed...

Or keep a list taped to the desk. Add a 'restriction' sticker to their student id.

Don't forget - Trump warned that this would happen, and loosened Dodd-Frank regulations to enable it.

Investigators should be required to publicly identify who was tied to any large withdrawals that precipitated this event... if not by name, by generic desc + motivation. IMO, the same thing should have happened back in 2001 WRT the AA/UAL stock shorting.

When someone tries to manipulate or profit from harm to our nation, NAME THEM.

Dear people who didn't think Putin would go all in:
don't think about him as a rational actor.

he's a little boy desperate to get back at the people who caused him to feel shame and pain, seeking glory to overcompensate.
Vladik has Daddy issues. And, my 2¢:

if, say, he had learned he had some kind of degenerative health issue, any kind of pressure he felt on himself to find glory through, say, rebuilding the "Russian empire," would be put on an accelerated timetable...

A) ANOTHER Tesla-fire engine crash at an accident scene???

B) you can't tell me that it's impossible to automatically disable any auto-driving features at speed within a 5 mile radius of known roadway hazards... shit, in CA, CHP even gives you lat/lng
sfgate.com/bayarea/articl… Of course, legislation to mandate disabling autodriving features around known hazards wouldn't prevent EVERY incident, but raw guess w/o research -> it would take out AT LEAST 80% of opportunities for incidents, up to 100% for dispatched responses.

On a serious note, though - it is obvious that China wanted us to see it here.

My take: CN drives domestic political division at a time convenient to RU, giving the GOP an excuse to withhold additional aid to Ukraine in the weeks before intensifying effort surrounding Feb 24. Note: NOT saying China is acting on RU's behalf exclusively - they are clearly pissed at the recent developments in PH and Guam...

So, the bomb was on a timer set to go off 11 hours later, which was 7:03pm. But the flight was scheduled to depart at 5pm so departure was 1:25 delayed. I haven't seen anyone address this delay - what caused it?

It should have been out over open ocean by then, right? Note that the crash over land allowed the incident to be both 'branded' and investigated much more differently than possible over the sea, where they wouldn't have found 90% of the wreckage.

CSAM includes both real and simulated imagery of children (real or simulated) engaged in sexual activity.

There is currently CSAM that has been visible on Twitter for 2 hours, it has been reported and has not been taken down.

Is @elonmusk allowing it to stay up intentionally? Though it's not the first time I've seen CSAM on Twitter, this is the first time I've seen politically motivated CSAM.

Allowing content to remain visible without moderation with several reports in the span of 2 hours should be criminal.

this is important.

i’d go after his friends at the airlines too. somebody managed all those buddy passes…. Interestingly, totally by chance, I came across this article tonight.

No shade intended at the author's family, but I find it an interesting coincidence that the father was the "second highest-grossing stockbroker" at Bear Stearns...

Some observations on David DePape's profile:

It reads like a catalog of активные мероприятия.

Welcome to the ends of the Horseshoe. He was indeed a nudist protestor IN the Castro, a movement that picked up around the time of SCOTUS's Prop 8 decision.

His baby momma x3, from Moscow, seen here wearing a strap-on and a sign about Bush stealing elections (GW, not hers), wrote this.

It doesn't sound nuts, @chrislhayes - it was clear that Trump was setting Pence up for death threats - don't forget his lawyer Lin Wood courted QAnon and accused Pence of being a pedophile the night before the insurrection. lawandcrime.com/high-profile/t… Image I called it - BEFORE the insurrection.

I can't find the tweet about him "putting a hit" out on Pence, though. Odd.

Point #1: MEDIA-STOP TREATING USE OF PHRASES DESCRIBING VIOLENCE AS METAPHOR.

Seriously. Doesn't matter what the claimed intent behind use of a phrase is - it's the responsibility of people with a large platform to use appropriate language to avoid misinterpretation. If someone says they're declaring war against Congress - stop accepting it as metaphor.
Treat it as a legitimate threat.

War is Violent Conflict.
Armed conflict.

Deadly conflict.

Declaring war is declaration of intent.

Glad to see @JoyceWhiteVance @FrankFigliuzzi1 @NicolleDWallace getting to the point publicly where my proposal to undermine grievance-based radicalization and internalization + primacy of "Republican" as identity went back in 2017.

It's still a valid concept. 📞 me. And yeah, it literally used those words.

That was kind of what my dissertation dealt with - the role language plays on dividing and reintegration of radicalized individuals.
