A thread-in-progress about @DrOz. I was once a guest on his show & heard from more people about that appearance (& reruns) than anything else I’ve done on TV. Tells you how big his reach is.

Was clear to me he was egotistical, self-centered & hazy on facts.

Perfect for GOP! 1/ First clue Oz was not a regular physician or host was in the first para of what should have been a standard guest release form.

Imagine a doctor-show form that has this: "...I am solely responsible for any harm to my health..."

Continuing my slow thread on @droz. 2/ Image

It was 1971. A failed radio audition and small corporate job behind him, a 29yo went to work at his new profession. By that evening his life changed.

He went on to become one of the most famous humans who ever lived. The French government would award him the Legion of Honor. 1/ In a BBC online poll in 1999 for the new millennium, he was named the greatest actor of screen or stage of the last 1,000 years.

These were the runners-up. 2/ Image

🧵 about @LarryElder and the Newsom recall.

Unlike most non-Californians weighing in on the California recall election, I’ve actually listened to and followed Elder for decades. 1/ 🤫 First, a confession. Something I never planned to write about.

📻 Most of my closest friends won’t know this, but I listen to a lot of conservative talk radio, including when he was alive, Rush Limbaugh. 2/

Starting a long-term thread about losing your job, unemployment and what to do next. Each week, I’ll try to post tips, resources, ideas. Would love to hear your thoughts if you’ve dealt w/ this, as well as your strategies on coping. Thanks for helping me help others.🙏🏾#sreetips They say adversity builds character. Having lost two high-profile jobs in 12 months, my character is now awesome.😊

Because I’ve been open about the body blow that’s unexpected job loss (and have allegedly bounced back), lots of folks regularly reach out to me.
