Two strong reasons why I want this alliance.

1.On Ground:

I had spent considerable period of time on Ground for 2 years meeting people from all cross sections of the society.

Many people who said they would vote for Modi Ji in 2024 also said if it is assembly elections then 🌱 Image Would stand a good chance to defeat 🌅. They also said there should be an alliance between 🪷&🌱 to defeat DMK+

This was the feedback from people who didn’t want to see DMK back to power.

I expected BJP’s Vote Share in Tamizh Nadu in 2024 Lok Sabha elections to be 14.9% to 16.9%. It ended up at 11.24%. It was well within my 4% error margin considering 86,000+ Sample Size.

But I still feel the vote share could have been 15%. Reason is the following seats. BJP should not have contested Nagaipatnam. Should have given this to TMC along with one more seat at Delta.

BJP should have contested at Sriperumbudur, Erode & Thoothukkudi.

@AnanthAyyasamy on ticket at Tenkasi could have given minimum 30%.

Sivaganga could have given 25%.

I batted for alliance with EDMK till Dec 2022. What changed by mind later

If Th. EPS wanted to really defeat DMK+ in 2021 he could have but unfortunately:
1. He didn’t listen to the advice of Shri @AmitShah on alliance sharing
2. Listless campaign ensured that seats 1 to 34 lost Image 3. In North TN DMK+ won 64/78 seats. It is crystal clear to everyone that BJP doesn’t have strength in this region. But post results who were blamed for the defeat? BJP
4. BJP was given seats such as

Thali (Left bastion) ADMK came 3rd in 2016

DMK was not keen on enjoying power at Centre until 1989 when they had a chance to get a berth in VP Singh’s Govt even though they had 0 MP’s in Lok Sabha
Karunanidhi knew that his brand of politics didn’t suit him to share power at Centre
But he made a conscious decision To transform the party’s outlook in 1996 when DMK was in a position to decide the PM’s name. Having tasted power at Centre from 1996-98 & with people throwing incumbents out in the state he decided that Lok Sabha polls are very important since it keeps them in power at Centre
