I filed WP 16431/21 against TN CM heading Advisory Committee u/s 7 of TN HR & CE Act. It is not based on mere emotions/ religious feelings but on sound legal grounds 2

The Advisory committee contemplated under Section 7 of the Act have different classes of members, ex-officio, non-officials, officials. Non-officials and official members should be Hindus by birth and they should profess Hindu religion.

Today newspapers reported that Hon'ble CM @mkstalin is to head the Advisory Committee for big HINDU Temples of TN.

Will the CM become a violator of the law himself !!??

What is the violation What does the #HRCEAct of TN say..👇 Anybody acting in furtherance of of the Act must be Hindu by birth and professing Hindu Religion, should have faith in God.
CM MK Stalin is a proclaimed atheist and non-believer of Hindu gods.

1 Sriranganarayana Jeer – An employee / servant of Srirangam Temple?
HR & CE issued a week ago an advertisement for the post of 51st Jeer for the Srirangam Temple. It was later removed from the web site. However, similar advertisements were issued 2 for the appointment of 42nd, 44th, 48th and 49th Jeers in the past. As per the decisions of the Court cases, Sriranga Narayana Jeer is an employee / servant appointed by the HR & CE Department to perform and oversee certain functions of the temple.

1 Madras High Court ordered HR & CE to monitor the Mural Paintings in Adhikeasava Perumal – Thiruvattaru
Since 2015, renovation has been going on in the Adikesava Perumal Temple. The only paint allowed to be used in all renovation works is mural paint. 2 In addition to paint the artistic works on the walls inside and outside the sanctum sanctorum, mural paint is used to paint the deities and all the sculptures on the gopuram. In essence, all the painting works in the temple are, traditionally, done only by mural paint.

This WP came up today before the division bench of Justices 2 MM Sundaresh and Hemalatha. The bench admitted the WP and asked HR & CE to file its counter in 3 weeks. The WP is for disclosing to the public the following information about the trustees: (a) Trustee is a Hindu and he is professing Hindu Religion

The court order tells a different story 2. As per newspaper Reports, MNM filed WP No.7599 of 2020 and Mr.ARL Sundaresan, Senior Counsel appeared for it. The Order in its cause title mentions specifically two miscellaneous petitions filed by TASMAC and one Mr. G Rajesh in two separate Writ Petitions filed by them.
