Somehow we managed to fly to the US for a close family member's funeral. We did not catch Covid, in spite of large Covid waves in both the US and the UK.
It is time for some negative thank yous, for those who made this incredibly difficult.
To those (few, fortunately) on the planes and in airports who glared at us for wearing masks:
We were going to a FUNERAL. Which we had to attend. We did not want to infect anyone. What are you, psychopaths?

It is pretty clear that there is a concentrated effort to get buy-in on private health care.
This is what private health care was like for me, on reason I left the US:
-Monthly health insurance costs doubled each year through my employer, so I actually earned less each year 1/
-It took me over 5 years to pay off essential surgeries, and that was with health insurance (they covered 70%)
-With the above costs, I couldn't afford my 50-dollar-a-monthly asthma inhaler and stopped taking it, seemed a luxury (now likely 100 or more dollars / month) 2/
