Very interesting news today. The Council of Europe has voted to adopt a report on rising anti-LGBT abuse and sentiment around Europe and beyond - and it includes some very interesting points. 1/ First, it specifically condemns the United Kingdom over “virulent attacks on the rights of LGBTI people that have been occurring for several years”. No surprises for any trans people following this in the UK. Britain has become a hotbed of exported transphobia in recent years. 2/

Not content to just have fascist enabler Andy Ngo at their conference, the LGB Alliance have moved on to actively praising his work... On the most base level, this must be a joke. Ngo's work is plagued with inaccuracies and occasionally outright fabrication - like when he invented an Islamophobic story about no go areas in London filled with Muslim extremists.

Alex Salmond is now claiming that ALBA candidate Margaret Lynch did not, in fact, make any claims about LGBT organisations trying to lower the age of consent. There's just three small problems with that: Firstly, multiple separate people who were attending the conference tweeted about it, then deleted afterwards when things kicked off. Unfortunately for them, people were quick to screenshot...
