You know what, let's watch some Thunder/Mavs Game 2.
PJ Washington screens for Kyrie. Thunder not clean with their switch, opens the roll. Chet helps. OKC works to sink. The key is now *Luka* is open on the weakside.

Early thought. I like Dallas flipping the matchups. I'm not sure about keeping a big on Chet because you still open up the roll and pop. OKC has done a great job of setting screens lower on the floor to make Dallas make decisions.

You know what, let's watch some Knicks/Sixers Game 3.
First play of the game, Sixers go right to Joel Embiid in the post. OG showing help, Embiid spins the other way and goes right to work.

You know what, let's watch some Thunder/Pelicans Game 2.
Before clips, like that Ingram is driving and looking to make plays. Finding ways to get them in rotation. OKC's ability to stick with their style of play is key. Pelicans defense is the key in this one.

Intrigued to see what the Pelicans are going to throw at Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Has the attack on the wing, Trey Murphy showing help. Checks to see and then doubles but by the time he does there is a cut. JV takes it, Chet wide open for 3.

You know what, let's watch a little Clippers/Mavs Game 1.
James Harden in P&R, Gafford is near the level, Washington working to navigate. Working to take Harden's space away. Help in on Zubac roll, gets the pocket pass and hits PG in the corner. Nice rebound from Mann, Coffey hits one.

Well alright Jaylen Brown.

You know what, let's watch some Wolves/Suns Game 1.
Minnesota goes to KAT in the post with KD on him, Suns stick with their double team and rotate out of it. Going to dare the Wolves offense to make them pay.

You know what, let's watch a little Cavs/Magic Game 1.
Orlando Magic fans have told me for 7 days that Jonathan Isaac is going to start. Take your lap. Curious about the rotation and if this just means Orlando will switch out of the gate. Matchups will be key.

Love this first set from Denver. Slice Jokic into the post but watch him immediately work to screen Bam so Murray. Bam is working to deny, Jokic hits him, Murray turns the corner and finishes.

I did not do a pre-series thread for Nuggets/Heat but someone is going to finish their story and I can't wait to see it.
I have such a deep respect for both of these coaches, both of these teams, the way that they got to the Finals, the questions they answered on the way. I just can't wait to see what they attempt.

The Liberty are on the way. Look at the shots they can generate. Storm are switching which takes away the CVS/Jonquel P&R. It's a kick to Stewart, hi lo into Jones for an easy one.
Stewart screens for Ionescu, Storm ends up switching. Help tries to come and then...that's Jonquel Jones wide open for 3.

Look at this help defense from the Indiana Fever. Tiffany Hayes has 13 points in 12 minutes for Connecticut and watch the white jerseys *collapse* on this drive.
Nice sequence from Aliyah Boston. Gets the block on on one end, seals in transition. Nice catch and finish.

You know what, let's watch some Celtics/Sixers Game 6.
Very intrigued by this start. Assume RWIII is on PJ does his ability to help and roam bother the Sixers offense? Will the Sixers be as decisive? Tucker as a screener? Does Boston find something offensively with two screeners?

Jalen Brunson felt decisive from the start. Working to make quicker decisions. Love in a flat show, goes right to a quick move before the Heat can fully load up. In transition rejects the screen and gets downhill.

You know what, let's watch some Lakers/Warriors Game 5.
Anthony Davis on Wiggins to start. Pindown for Klay, AD sticks in a drop. No roll from Wiggins. Keeping an eye on if the Warriors can get AD to the level and open things up. You see LeBron helping off GPII.

All eyes on Denver's defense for me. What coverages will they try to throw? Will they hit the little things when they put two on the ball? Is it as simple as taking transition off the table? Can they closeout and keep the ball in front?

You know what, let's watch some Celtics/Sixers Game 5.
Sixers have gone with some more switching to try and bog the Celtics down. The ball movement is key for Boston, Sixers have to rotate.

Keeping an eye on how Cleveland uses Garland/Mitchell and the little things they do in the half court. This is good stuff. Garland comes off a double P&R from Okoro/Allen. Mitchell on the weakside *with* an empty corner. You have a decision to make *and* there is no late help.
The luxury of having Mobley and Allen defensively. We should tip the cap to Donovan Mitchell for his work this year. Nice pressure but watch him funnel the drive to Allen at the rim and then peel out. On the rebound you put Mobley in action and that's a switch and yeah.
