Vole's full statement: "6 years ago, right around where I am today, people lived in 2 small treesits to protect a thriving forest atop this mountain for 95 days. Now, because of the MVP, that rich ecosystem is a disaster zone.

“All of the following pertain to my experiences at West Virgina's Central Regional Jail, between February 7 and April 7, 2024, in misdemeanor pod B8. Further, they represent the experiences of a privileged, older white man.
In fact, I (thankfully) inherited my Spoon (a low-budget one, not one of those deluxe, heavy ones you can buy) on my first meal in the pod, and have used it ever since - 3 meals a day for 49 days so far as I write this.
“Over the past 6 weeks of incarceration, I have been blessed to receive an unbelievable number of letters and cards expressing solidarity and support. They have come from across the country and from all demographics. Many have included quotes, poems, and original compositions. ..
“Sincere thanks to everyone who's been writing with words of support. Those are super appreciated! I'm trying to answer all mail - but some may be getting lost & I may just fall behind. And I don't have access to international postage (thank you for writing from Leige, Belgium!)

2/ As of midday, they hold their position at the drill site, which is a glaring intrusion in the wild spaces that used to be in tact before MVP came through and razed a path leaving a wide swath of destroyed land. A rally sprouted nearby and police are on site but yet to approach
An increasing number of pipeline resisters taking action against the MVP are initially being denied bail upon arrest. This is part of ongoing escalating repression from the state and the company, which includes trumped felony charges and SLAPP suits against more than 40 people.
Yesterday — Monday, March 4th — Mountain Valley Pipeline work near Honeysuckle Rd on Poor Mountain was shut down for 11 hours as two people locked themselves to an immobilized car, which prevented workers from accessing the pipeline easement, a work yard, and 2 access roads.
“Monday February 26th: I'm on Day 20. 40 days remain. Tomorrow, after a few full weeks, will feel like a milestone.
“No MVP. No LNG. No More Fracking. Keep the Fossil Fuels in the Ground! In thermodynamics, there is a theory of 'activation energy' - until you reach it with the right amount of heat or pressure, the raw materials don't change.

In Nov, Jerome locked himself to a drill to stop construction of MVP under the Elk River—one of the longest river crossings on the route. He pled guilty to one misdemeanor charge & was sentenced to 1 year in jail, 8 mo suspended. He will serve 2 mo + a year probation.

Folks took autonomous action, organized where they are, and showed solidarity with the fight against the MVP, with comrades facing state repression in Atlanta, and with the people of Palestine. 
A district court judge found them guilty of two misdemeanors, sentencing them to three months in jail and three months suspended with a fine of $3,000. They were taken into custody immediately.
MVP is currently suing more than 35 individuals, and at least 20 pipeline fighters are facing criminal charges, including several bullshit abduction felonies. 😤😤😤
