Experimenting w/prompt engineering w/ #ChatGPT. Well-structured prompts yield more developed responses:

I want you to act as [X].
I will give you [X], as well as [X].
You will provide [X].
My first request: “[X]”

(Sample prompt is a throwaway idea, looking around my office.) Chat GPT’s responses aren’t all polished winners, by a long shot. But the responses are already good enough to be a great prompt for brainstorming and developing ideas — even down to potential shot lists.

Gonna live tweet tonight — but doing so as mentions to @JoeBiden so as not to clutter up the streams of the uninterested. Follow both if you wanna throw it around. 🥃 @JoeBiden Oof. Praising yourself on COVID-14 right now is not a good look Donnie.

It’s the contrasting color of the embedded, normal interior light of the UPS truck that immediately confirms to our brain that this midday photo is a) real, and b) freakin’ INSANE.

There are other tells, too. The red LED at front of truck & ~2700K interior home lights across the street present as normal, telling us this is both real and shot on daylight white balance. The level of the ambient daylight is *darker* than the truck’s interior. We’re on Mars. 🤷‍♂️

Frustrating/sad news on the Strobist front: It appears that the new, mandatory, @Blogger update is not functionally compatible with my site. I have written to them several times during the comment/feedback/transition period, with no response. (1/X) I'm still considering for future options. But the inability to preview/edit a post in Blogger, if unsolved, makes it very unlikely that I can continue on that platform. No regrets if that is the case; it has been a fantastic 14+ years, and I'll always be thankful for them. 2/2

Twitter coming hard for photographer #AnnieLeibovitz with pitchforks and torches, when what they are really seeing are stylistic choices made after the fact in post production. Annie’s post has been trending toward ashen skin (in both AA and caucasian subjects) for years. She’s one-note. That’s her look. @voguemagazine knew what they were going to get when they chose her to shoot Biles. Whatever fault that exist lies with Vogue’s DOP, IMO.
