NEW: the activist legal group that wrote the law that overturned Roe v Wade just sued the FDA to reverse its 22yo approval of the abortion drug mifepristone.

More on the suit from Alliance Defending Freedom, a group with ties to Amy Coney Barrett here: jezebel.com/anti-abortion-… Mifepristone is used in medication abortions *AND* to treat incomplete miscarriages.

saw a link about a "temporary stay" in the Texas abortion case: that case was in state court and decided earlier

The Supreme Court did just indeed let the Texas law go into effect, gutting Roe v Wade and encouraging other states to pass similar laws texastribune.org/2021/08/31/tex… In the meantime, Travis County District Judge Amy Clark Meac SCOTUS could still act?? But for now, SB8 is in effect
