My biggest problem with voting will always be this:
People telling me to vote are nowhere to be found when I'm doing grassroots work to address the problems they told me voting would fix. Yall run and tell me to vote, then you sit on your hands.
You don't attend programs.
You don't go to protests.
You don't even retweet GoFundMe's.
You vote and that's it. Cause you don't have any other plan for helping the people you say you care about.

Alot of women dont know a man will be a deadbeat father.
Because thats how abusive men work.
They hide their abusive behavior until its too late. Willfully abandoning your child is child abuse. AND abuse of your baby momma.
And abusive men will lie first, then abuse you later.
"Choose better men" is another way for weak men to avoid being responsible AND to keep abusing women and children.

I remember that one too. I am right.
I am right when I question light skinned, curly haired Black women who pop up on social media as social justice scholars, but no one can trace their pro-Blackness past 2013.

Queer Christian here to DEEPLY agree.
I got friends whose whose whole faith was shook up by the SIMPLE statement that God is not antiQueer. That simple idea makes people question their entire relationship with God.
Christianity being anti-LGBTQ is the only explanation for that. Whole books about people flipping through the bible tryna find where God explicitly says they don't have to hate queer and trans people. Literally looking to the bible for a reason NOT to be homophobic.

Just so @traderjosephina dont catch hell for a basic fact, Mulatto is definitely in a tradition of people who don't wanna be Black until its time to profit off being Black. Mulatto originally meant the cross between a donkey and a horse. But US slave owners adopted the word for people of mixed race that they still wanted to classify as slaves.

The biggest reason I dont need respect from men? Its not because I'm a feminist or a activist.
I don't need respect from men cause I can't eat it.
Respect don't pay my bills.
And men who place respect as most important only have their respect to bring to the table. Most of the men talking about how they don't respect certain women are the same ones who still go to they mama house to wash clothes.
Its easy to focus on where you put your RESPECT when someone else is handling your RESPONSIBILITIES.

I don't see it that way.
I think when we first get "woke" we assume there's no more for us to learn.
