Putin murdered US troops.

The Commander in Chief of the US armed forces was informed of the murders.

The Commander in Chief lied to protect the murderer while caskets were sent home to mourning families.

Then the CiC had multiple fawning conversations with the murderer.
Then every single Republican in Congress except Romney discussed their top priority: How to keep Trump's tweets on message so they can all get re elected - and continue to allow the slaughter of our troops by the President's benefactor.
And as the days and weeks and months went by and Americans died by the thousands from a non-managed pandemic, their life savings drained by economic collapse, and Trump is yukking it up with the enemy, Republicans can only talk about vandalized confederate statues.

Thread.

Donald Trump treats women the way he treats his country: He takes what he wants without asking, sometimes violently. He thinks he deserves what he takes and doesn't care about the consequences.

/1
The known sexual misconduct allegations against Trump span 40 years. They involve literally hundreds of girls and women.

This thread is a timeline of all the major sexual assault accusations against Donald Trump.

Jessica Leeds affirms that in the late 1970s Trump assaulted her on an airplane.

Leeds said that 2 years afterwards she ran into Trump at a gala. "He looked at me, and then he said, 'I remember you,' and then he said, 'You're the cunt on the airplane.'"

Mattis speaks: “Donald Trump is the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people—does not even pretend to try. Instead, he tries to divide us. We are witnessing the consequences of three years of this deliberate effort."

On this day in 1992 (also a Sunday), the nation was still reeling from LA riots which resulted from outrage over the acquittals of 4 white police officers caught on video beating a black man, Rodney King.

The League of Women Voters pleaded with *AG William Barr* for justice.
1992 Bill Barr's answer to the LA riots was to deport illegal aliens.
Race riots. Rage. Killing. Looting. Burning.

In **1992** a Columbia University professor says: "This is deja vu. Very little has changed."

@MelissaJPeltier First person who comes to mind is @JaneMayerNYer for the months and months of time she puts into her stories and the amount of granular detail and sourcing.
@MelissaJPeltier @JaneMayerNYer Her McConnell expose was amazing. So much detail and history and quotes from a deep supply of sources. When I finished reading it I felt like I understood his motivation for everything he does.

Except for the date, this page of the Flynn transcripts was completely redacted.

We know from the Flynn indictment that it was on this date that Flynn was directed by "a very senior member of the Presidential Transition Team" to contact Russia.

justice.gov/file/1015126/d…
Flynn was contacting Kislyak to tell him that the incoming Trump admin was opposed to a resolution to call on Israel to stop settlement activities in Palestinian territory.

Team Trump assumed the Obama admin would NOT oppose it, and was lobbying RUSSIA and others to oppose it.
The "very senior member of the Presidential Transition Team" who directed Flynn to make this call was probably Jared Kushner.

Important. Trump's covid response has cratered his polling in certain demographics. But now he's taking political advantage of the fear invoked in some whites of images of blacks burning down a police station and vandalizing/looting. He'll use that fear to motivate his voters.
I think it's important for Democrats to not allow themselves to be portrayed as "anti-police" because that's exactly what RW pundits will be doing.
All people across the political spectrum should be outraged that George Floyd was murdered by a police officer.

AND

None of us should excuse protestors who force police to flee their own precinct, leaving rioters to burn the station to the ground.

Elizabeth Warren may not be your first choice for VP, but pollsters say that adding her to the ticket will be the Democrats' best chance at getting Trump OUT of the White House.
Kamala Harris is my first choice. But I'll happily settle for Elizabeth Warren if the Biden camp picks her.
It seems that one of the biggest impediments to Biden's choosing Kamala Harris is Jill Biden, who was really angry at Harris's attack on Joe during the first debate.

@wscott44 No, we're good. I spent the afternoon in Midland however, helping with the cleanup effort. What a massive disaster. So many streets are lined with everyone's belongings. Image
@wscott44 There are some damaged areas in Saginaw county too but we're a couple miles from the nearest flood zone. Some friends of our in a quad-level home and two levels completely flooded. Lots of folks had waist-high water in the main level of their house.
@wscott44 * had two levels flooded. Water filled up basements to the ceilings.

As Trump demands churches open "right now" ...

THREE HOURS AGO, the CDC put this study on its website:
At an AK church service there were:

- 92 attendees.
- 35% of them contracted #COVID19
- 3 attendees died.

Another death and 26 more infections were linked to that service.
And the CDC guidance (published three hours before Trump said he would MAKE local leaders open church) says:

cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/6…
Someone count the number of minutes before this is removed from the site.

Obviously, there are ethical issues with diagnosing someone you've never met. I'm totally fine with that because I haven't been a social worker for 20 years.
But my word. This woman.

She says her father was extremely abusive, but no one else remembers him that way.

She says she was accepted to Julliard, but has no proof of it.

She says she graduated from college, but the college says she didn't and she can't prove otherwise.

Where leaders are voted in by citizens, the press has a solemn duty to report the truth about those leaders.

If a leader's dereliction of duty results in the deaths of more than 50,000 citizens, and the "press" intentionally ignores it, that "press" should be held accountable.
Fox is the main source of news for nearly half of America.

Fox hosts are purposely misinforming their viewers about the malice, incompetence, and unfitness of the president. Viewers will vote for the president based on that bad information, possibly leading to much MORE death.
When I reflect on who is most to blame for the catastrophic deaths and ruined economy, I always come back to the faces of Fox.

People expect them to be guards on the watchtower. Instead, they watch the burglars rob the people and then deny it ever happened.

🚨 This is a crime in process. The Kremlin is interfering in the 2020 election and Giuliani AND Senate GOP appear to be COORDINATING with them. (1/x)

newsweek.com/joe-biden-leak…
🔹 The Kremlin *doctored* a recorded call between Biden and former Ukrainian Pres Poroshenko.

The call is meant to show evidence that Biden had fired a prosecutor to stop a probe into Burisma, while Hunter Biden was on the board.

As this graphic shows, it's a bogus claim. (2/x)
🔹The Kremlin leaked the doctored call through a Russian Intelligence asset, Andrii Derkach, who has been meeting with Rudy Giuliani.

Giuliani met with Ukrainian lawmaker, Andriy Derkach, last year who has links to Russian intelligence.

Now, in an attempt to fix this year's election, Derkach has released recordings of partial phone conversations Biden had with Poroshenko.

washingtonpost.com/national-secur…
The fragments of phone conversations really don't have evidence to advance Giuliani's Biden/Burisma claims, but that's not stopping Jr. from pretending they do.
So to recap, just like in 2016 the Trump campaign is coordinating with individuals connected to Russian intelligence in an attempt to smear Trump's opponent.

Jared Kushner is the key to unraveling the Trump Russia conspiracy.

Let's take another look at the Manafort/Hannity text messages.

1. March 2018: Manafort: "They would want me to give up DT or family, esp JK." (...)
2. April 2018:

Hannity: Time to say FU and go to war.
Manafort: Yes
Hannity: That's what will happen now.
Hannity: Then they will get Jared.
Hannity: And try to get POTUS to explode.
3. May 2018:

Manafort: (speaking of the Trumpian Judge Ellis): If he rules correctly, everyone benefits from me to DT to JK et all.

Fox's worst propagandists say there was no basis for the FBI to open a counter-intelligence investigation into a presidential campaign which had nearly 200 contacts with Russian operatives.

Let's remind them of some of these contacts detailed in the #MuellerReport.
In 2015 Michael Cohen and Felix Sater were ironing out secret details for a Trump Tower Moscow. Sater was dealing directly with individuals close to Putin.
In 2016 Michael Cohen communicated with the personal assistant of Dmitri Peskov.

I keep thinking about this too. Why the sudden revival of Spygate now?

A guess: A warning to anyone in the IC who may be watching his current collusion with Russia.
No. That's not it. Trump is laying the groundwork to pardon MANAFORT. If Manafort is still in prison on January 20, 2020, the Biden DOJ might finally find out what he has on KUSHNER.

Trump successfully obstructed that investigation. If Manafort is not pardoned, all bets are off.

Romney telling Trump's testing czar he's such a blunder some times it makes him wonder why he even brings the thunder:

"Yesterday you celebrated that we had done more tests and more tests per capita even than South Korea ... "

wapo.st/2WTTBtA
🔥"But you ignored the fact that they accomplished theirs at the beginning of the outbreak while we treaded water during February and March."
BAM! "So partially as a result of that, they have 256 deaths, and we have almost 80,000 deaths. I find our testing record nothing to celebrate whatsoever. The fact is their test numbers are going down, down, down, down now is because they don’t have the kind of outbreak we have."
