1/ I listened to parts of the electrek podcasts for you. Fred gives a bit more color on the autopilot restructuring: $TSLA
-"Changes that started back just before that investor day when they were working on making that demo work"
-"apparently wasn't up to Elon's standards" 2/
-"some days later [after the investors day] where I think some of the teams learned for the first time the new timeline and what [...] was the new plan for everything and not everyone agreed"
-"a few more heads rolled after that"

1/ Small Audi E-tron update: As widely distributed by $TSLA fans Audi has problems with its battery supply chain. This was first reported by German media a month ago. Production was only at 150/day vs. planned 300/day at that time. (article in German).
br.de/nachrichten/wi… 2/ Later the Brussels times reported that Audi lowered its internal production forecast by ~10k cars to 45.242 units and that the e-tron sport back would be delayed to 2020. Main problem is the supply of batteries by LG Chem from its new plant in Poland.

1/ This was just posted on TMC. I have not yet verified it, but these would be huge buys for ARKK today (ARK was holding 578,707 shares of $TSLA as of yesterday). 2/ Since you can subscribe to daily trade notifications here (h/t @BSA19741) I believe it might be legit. Trade with care. This needs to be confirmed. $TSLA

1/Official documents regarding the $TSLA FCA emission pooling in the EU. The documents contain not much information except the duration being 2019. It is not clear to me why FCA would pay "hundreds of millions of euros" for pooling in 2019. 2/ Such an amount would make much more sense for 2020/21 when the regulation in the EU becomes much stricter. Unfortunately the FT article has very little information on how the deal is structured and if there is a underlying contract for the following years. $TSLA

1/ This is only the starting point which made me dig deeper. The timing of this filing (28th Dec) wrt to the SpaceX raise is interesting. Referenced are loans with Morgan Stanely for a total of ~$61m
2/ The question is. When were these loans taken out? What was the money used for? The first question should be possible to answer through public filings. The problem is that the properties are owned by various LLCs, which makes the whole undertaking a bit more

1/ The German Model 3 in not priced attractively for $TSLA:
Yesterday I did some calculations on the German Model 3 pricing (which is probably the worst European price for Tesla)
Cash price for AWD is 56,380 € 2/ The price includes 19% VAT (9.002 €)
56,380 € - 9,002 € = 47,378€
Then there is a 10% import duty
47.378€ / 1.10 = 43.071€
That's $50.393, $600 less than the US price after price cuts
Now one needs to consider:
a) shipping
b) no credits (GHG, ZEV)

1/ An interesting small detail re EU type approval is that all passenger cars (and light commercial vehicles) approved in the EU after March 31st require an eCall system. 2/ Wikipedia:
"The eCall initiative aims to deploy a device installed in all vehicles that will automatically dial 112 in the event of a serious road accident, and wirelessly send airbag deployment

1/ Another very sketchy business practice by $TSLA is detailed in this thread. According to this thread $TSLA used to promised car buyers free supercharging not only for their current purchase, but also for any future car purchases from $TSLA
teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/di… 2/ "my account used to say since day 1 after I bought my car, "You have free, unlimited Supercharging, including your current Tesla vehicle and any new Model S or Model X purchase." until it was changed and an antedated expiry date ("if purchased before 31-2-2018") was added"

So I thought it's time to share some details. A lot of credit to @skabooshka. 2/ The Form D lists Straubel and Stevenson as Executive Officers. What about the business adress?

1/ Mechanic's liens and $TSLA's VSRS (vertical storage retrieval system)
h/t @witwwos @phoennix10 @Trumpery45
I have been posting updates on mechanic's liens. As posted yesterday I know of 14 open mechanic's liens on property owned or leased by $TSLA. 2/ "A mechanic's lien is a security interest in the title to property for the benefit of those who have supplied labor or materials that improve the property." (Wikipedia)
