This thread is to offer advice on other ways to support women in the GC movement and find a role for yourself which best makes use of your skills. Firstly I don't blame you for feeling left out. It's frustrating to feel like you should be seen & not heard, to stand at the back and wait your turn. You may have been told to stay in your lane so many times you feel like packing it all in. When people say trans people have always existed they are using a modern concept and projecting it on to a complex and varied set of phenomena. They're using scholarship which conflates
- Same sex attracted men & women who pretended to be the opposite sex to escape repression - Men who pretended to be the women because they worked as prostitutes and their clients prefered it
- Men who pretended to be women for auto-erotic purposes
- Men who pretended to be women in the theatre because women were not allowed to perform
- Boys who were castrated

I was raised by a foot solider for militant tendency so I understand the mindset of the far left. The reason why so many support queer theory is because it's a means to an end. It's about destabilising society and igniting a class war. The war to end all wars. I always cringed when my dad said thinks like 'I'm the gravedigger of capitalism.' I grew up in the 1990's after the fall of the Berlin Wall where such talk seemed quaint, cringe worthy but largely harmless. I never took him seriously, it always felt like some weird pipe dream.

The most important thing is to remember that stats and facts won't work. What people need to understand is what trans activists truly believe. This requires self reflection. It's such a vast subject it's hard to know where to begin. So much sounds like fake news, it's almost too unbelievable. Most my circle are left wing or ID as feminists. Bindel is a smart woman, her refusal to recognise the women who facilitate these speakers corner events is despicable She frames these events as right wing political theatre, makes it seem like far right men are in charge, ignoring the all woman organising team - a large majority of whom are working class and lesbian.
