Volodymyr Zelensky’s commanding leadership is all the more remarkable given that just a few years ago he was one of Ukraine’s top comedians and TV stars. It would be like if Jon Stewart became president and led America through war and existential crisis. From 2015-2019 Zelensky created and starred in the TV comedy series “Servant of the People” about a high school teacher who becomes Ukrainian President. Shortly after the show’s final season aired he won Ukraine’s presidential election. Wild.
