I would advice all Hindus to invest in land. Good agricultural land or land with water. Why? Because it’s the only real true asset in this world. Here are some thoughts in no particular order: 1. Don’t ever sell land. Find ways to keep it productive. It’s more valuable than $$ 2. If you can’t afford to buy land. Buy it as a coop with other like minded Hindus. Do not buy for profit motive. Do not buy thinking that you can flip it or sell at a profit. It is Bhu Devi.

Be it feminists or pro-lifers..they are all the same.. which part of women saying ‘my body, my choice’ don’t they get? It’s doesn’t matter who supports it or who opposes it.. women should have complete autonomy over their bodies. Period. End of story. No more discussions. San Francisco is zombie town.. drug addicts and mentally ill people..no medical intervention because they REFUSE to quit drugs or their disabled mental state..how can they make an informed choice? And yet, THEY have the freedom to make a choice for their bodies. But women can’t.

Imagine there is a Dept of Karmic Works. Nine officers run the show. Their bosses sit elsewhere. Work is tough..intense, but they have a system and a process. Then comes a roving band of randos who have hacked their systems manuals. They have studied their system well.. 1/n 2/n: then they start disrupting their work flow and start hacking the system so the it work is starting to give different results. Of course, the system is solid. These mosquito bites won’t derail their work but might cause delays and annoyances. After all, they have bosses too.

I was talking about this to a friend when we were discussing Hindu menarche celebrations. He said that men are terrified to complement female beauty. When nothing except anxiety/fear/loathing awaits girls at the threshold of womanhood, why would they want to grow up to be women? He also said that it started with fashion/couture industry when female models started becoming more and more androgynous. I agree. No woman can look like those runway models..the fashion industry is catering to whom exactly?

I don’t have any guru/miracle stories. But there is some connection to Ram Dass and his guru Neem Karoli Baba in my life. Ever since I moved to the States, there has been times in my life when I have been confused/depressed/uncertain.. staring at the forks and turning points.. 2/n: Somehow..I get some message from Neem Karoli Baba..sometimes via Ram Dass..who has now passed on. I am reminded of the story I heard about Karna and his beginnings. Story of Karna: a 🧵… before the Dvapara Yuga of the MB and in the Treta Yuga, there was a king called Dambhodbhava. He was brave and battled many other kings..as he kept winning, he started getting arrogant. 👇🏼 2/n: he just wanted to keep winning. So he knew he needed help. He sought the help of Surya and meditated for years and years until Surya was pleased and offered him a boon. Of course, he couldn’t be immortal.

There Shitodaka Snana which is cold water baths and Ushnodaka Snana which is warm water baths. Snana Vidhi says that we should dunk/immerse fully into river water or a pond before/around sunrise. Warm water baths is only when we use oils/perfumes/ubtan. There are Snana Mantras that can be recited while bathing. There are two very powerful homams that can be done (and should be done by Hindu Americans especially now)and imo, it’s best done as a community homam in a temple by priests. Any homam is a portal where we can connect with very powerful energies.
