I would advice all Hindus to invest in land. Good agricultural land or land with water. Why? Because it’s the only real true asset in this world. Here are some thoughts in no particular order: 1. Don’t ever sell land. Find ways to keep it productive. It’s more valuable than $$ 2. If you can’t afford to buy land. Buy it as a coop with other like minded Hindus. Do not buy for profit motive. Do not buy thinking that you can flip it or sell at a profit. It is Bhu Devi.

Be it feminists or pro-lifers..they are all the same.. which part of women saying ‘my body, my choice’ don’t they get? It’s doesn’t matter who supports it or who opposes it.. women should have complete autonomy over their bodies. Period. End of story. No more discussions. San Francisco is zombie town.. drug addicts and mentally ill people..no medical intervention because they REFUSE to quit drugs or their disabled mental state..how can they make an informed choice? And yet, THEY have the freedom to make a choice for their bodies. But women can’t.

Imagine there is a Dept of Karmic Works. Nine officers run the show. Their bosses sit elsewhere. Work is tough..intense, but they have a system and a process. Then comes a roving band of randos who have hacked their systems manuals. They have studied their system well.. 1/n 2/n: then they start disrupting their work flow and start hacking the system so the it work is starting to give different results. Of course, the system is solid. These mosquito bites won’t derail their work but might cause delays and annoyances. After all, they have bosses too.

I was talking about this to a friend when we were discussing Hindu menarche celebrations. He said that men are terrified to complement female beauty. When nothing except anxiety/fear/loathing awaits girls at the threshold of womanhood, why would they want to grow up to be women? He also said that it started with fashion/couture industry when female models started becoming more and more androgynous. I agree. No woman can look like those runway models..the fashion industry is catering to whom exactly?

It’s been an exhausting weekend at work. I expect the next two months to be hectic. I hope everyone is keeping their Jyotish Journal. It’s one of the main features of our Jyotish Bootcamp. jyotishbootcamp.Substack.com I got an email asking how to keep one… here are some suggestions👇🏼 2/n: everyday..before you start journaling, jot down the Panchanga details: vara , tithi, Nakshatra, Karana, yoga. I haven’t covered Karana and yoga yet, but you can start writing now so you at least know their names. Drikpanchang or any astro software will have it.

There is truth to what he says..but..not everyone is meant to follow shastras. This becomes amply clear when we look at birth charts. Karma decides our destiny. For some, traditional religion is simply not part of destiny. A chart will even reveal when one would seek a diff faith The greatest(unexpected) gift and lesson I have received from studying Vedic Astrology is acceptance of people for who they are .. can’t say I am more tolerant. It might seem like it’s the same, but it’s not.

In Kumbha Rasi..you can either take a sip of the nectar of immortality from Mohini or the Halala of life and rebirth spat out by the serpents of desire. It is only Neelakanta Shiva who can save you from the poisons by swallowing it himself. This is the secret of MahaShivaratri. Why is he Mahakal? He is the Lord of Time. Death swallows Time itself. And he controls Death and destruction and time. He wears serpents as ornaments..serpents that represent desires that fuel our lives..they shed skins..like time sheds via cycle of life and death and rebirth.

There are two very powerful homams that can be done (and should be done by Hindu Americans especially now)and imo, it’s best done as a community homam in a temple by priests. Any homam is a portal where we can connect with very powerful energies. It invokes mantra, tantra, yantra 2/n Homams require the guidance of learned Vedic priests and they must be trained appropriately. Not all priests will know the procedures for all homams and it takes them years to be considered eligible to perform their powerful invocations.
