First SPS budget work session of the school year starting…shortly? Today is September 20, 2023. Rankin calling the meeting to order, looks like everyone is here except Hersey (work obligation).

It's almost Seattle school board time. The agenda doesn't look super interesting tonight, but you never know! I'll hang through until 6:30ish, that's when my house tends to get restive. They appear to still be in closed chambers.

I’m watching the NE Well-Resourced Schools meeting. Bev is speaking her normal speech. She said she saw 3 board members.

I'm watching the SW SPS "System of Well-Resourced Schools" meeting in the other window, not expecting to hear much different. We're getting fewer camera angles this evening. I love how Bev is Dr. Jones' hype man in these sessions. There are possibly folks wearing shirts advocating for saving their schools at this meeting? Jones made an allusion to them in his speech, said there was no plan to consolidate any schools currently [right now. at this exact second.]
