Todge would have failed the psych evaluation (& drug use) and entry requirements for the military. He got in by favour, in the end to endanger lives of his comrades because of his lack of intelligence and mental illness- the very things that should have stopped him getting in. How the military could allow a drug addict, mentally ill twit who gets bored easily and becomes impulsive, to be such a high risk liability in Afghanistan, is beyond me.
The opposite of protecting human life.
