The meeting held at Marlene's today with city council was truly the best illustration of the cluelessness, entitlement, and heartlessness of folks in power and folks who are well-resourced. Business owners and homeowners in one breath, called themselves people who care about the unhoused and in another breath, campaigned for laws and ordinances that criminalize and exacerbate the circumstances of the unhoused.

We are publicly indicting Tacoma Rescue Mission for harassment and eviction of an unhoused community member, inhumane treatment of shelter residents, and poor & inadequate conditions. TRM is popularly referred to as a resource for unhoused community members, but they are *not* serving our community & have violated the dignity & rights of countless unhoused folks.
