I wrote a book over the last few years about a young trip of siblings who con and Rob their way across 1950s America until they get caught up in a tough situation deep in coal mining country of the Black Warrior River delta in Alabama. It makes me sad that this could never be... published today because I'm white and there's some strong racial language reflective of the Jim Crow south. Even though it is meant as a cautionary tale.
