"Disco Dream" by Mean Machine is a seminal track in Hip Hop history that was released in 1981 on Sugar Hill Records. The Pharcyde, comprised of members with stage names Imani, Slimkid3, Fatlip, and Bootie Brown, emerged from South Central LA in 1989, pushing the boundaries of creative and alternative Hip Hop with a distinct touch of Jazz.
