I'm seeing a lot of nonsense on the timeline about rugby and "Zombie".

Zombie was first played in a mainstream rugby setting at Thomond Park during halftime against Castres in December 2021. It was in the works to be played in that setting for a while - six months at least - as Munster had a light show designed around the music with the new LED floodlights installed that Autumn.

NEW IDEA

Rugby 30X30.

Two teams of 30 players - 28 forwards and two backs - play on a basketball court with four balls to make an entertaining, high paced game designed for pundits by pundits. Any time a scrum resets, the ref is ejected out of the stadium on a catapult.

Every high shot is worth 2.3 points because we are MEN that play HARD.

Any time a red card is shown for not following rugby values, two players take your place until there is a max of 130 players

Plainly a red card and it’s not even really that debatable.

I’m sure he didn’t mean it - I mean, I doubt he had “nail that karate kick you’ve been practicing” written on his wrist tape - but that doesn’t matter. Just to ensure there’s no intent, we should bring up social media photos of the player being a good bloke on the TMO screen to counterbalance any foul play.

If there’s any photos of them looking mean though, watch out, red card on the way buddy mate mate buddy mate.

Just having a look back through the game. Four real acts of thuggery gone unpunished or half-punished. Munster let this game behind them off the tee, no question, but Barnes and his team were complicit in one of the dirtiest performances I've seen at this level for some time. Fuck the result. We lost, whatever, we'll get over it. Castres came out to play dirty, fine. How they were let away gouging, no arms shots, dirty nonsense off the ball and a sliding tackle into the balls to prevent Conway from scoring I'll never know.
