The slander against #MeghanMarkIe is so similar to what so many black women face when we say no or enforce our boundaries as women who are not enslaved. When we say no to the desires of other, we take on the angry narcissist trope. As part of colonization and enslavement of black women, black women endured mental, physical, emotional, spiritual and sexual violence daily. We could not say NO this is MY BODY. So when the daughters of our ancestors speak up and say NO, the world piles on and rejects us.

Dating apps objectify women and reduce us to faces, bodies, vaginas. The objective is to say whatever is required to obtain sex. Have “a little fun” and move on to the next one. I don’t know how people do it because my 🍑 and 💋 is not for every single dating app man. Ewww. Women I know who do say it’s “no big deal” but we all suffer in the end, whether we say no to hookups or agree to be DTF. I personally think it would be more damaging for me to play into the sex-only relationship vibe so I don’t.
