I do think a big problem with The Left is that at the lower level it’s populated by people in their 30s and 40s whose sole purpose in life is to sit on their ass and watch Twin Peaks and then head up to the bar and play Twin Peaks trivia. They have no kids, no attachments, no 1/ serious goals in life. Everyday working people see this behavior and affiliate it with The Left.
