They found a perfect place for their would-be library around the corner from their building. It had once been a convenience store, and the now bare shelves would be perfect for storing the books.
The building itself hadn’t had much damage, the windows would need boarding up and a new reinforced door put on, but in general it was in pretty good condition. They spent the rest of the day working out what they would need to do to secure the place.

“Careful!” Yoongi cried, as Jimin’s footing wobbled.
“I’m fine!” Jimin insisted, as he continued to climb up the stacked debris and boxes.
It wasn’t the steadiest tower but it was all they had. Slowly Jimin climbed up, until he could reach the edge of the hole in the wall.
It was a lot smaller than it had looked. Jimin wasn’t sure he was going to fit. He peered in through the opening, shining his torch in. The room was intact, the metal shelving coated in a thick layer of dust. Completely untouched.

They’d fallen into another comfortable silence. Jimin just watching the flames of the barbecue pit dance.
The air around them had chilled, but it wasn’t so bad that Jimin wanted to leave, quite the opposite in fact, he wanted to stay there in the coolness of night with Yoongi.

He was starting to feel happier in himself, something he hadn’t even realised he’d been missing. Jimin had never thought of himself as sad or lonely, but he had been.
He’d just been going through the motions, with only his plan and the friends he had to stop him spiralling into a very dark place. The fact that he hadn’t even been aware of how he was feeling only added to how much he’d been letting his life just pass by without even living it.
