i’ve been struggling to put this into words for a while but i think a lot of this AI art craze comes down to these guys feeling the joy of being creative for the first time and mistaking it for something much deeper. anyone who does art knows that it’s fun to mess around and make a dumb picture (like this shitty pic of the beatles with a zeppelin and a fucked looking dog) But we also know that the enjoyment we get from the process doesn’t actually correlate to the value or quality of the art.
