Owsley Stanley, premier LSD chemist of the 60s, supplied the Merry Pranksters & was the Grateful Dead's sound engineer. He later obtained STP—a drug tested at Edgewood Arsenal as a biowarfare agent—from a Navy vet who later worked w/ the DEA, bringing it to Haight Street in 1967. Image
