The History teacher in me needs to do this. History does not exist in a vacuum, nor does history justify killing and war. But, it is historically incorrect to boil this conflict down from 1948-present. I never thought providing history, in an unbiased way would be a scary thing to do, but here goes. Tonight seems like a good time to get real about my time as a Special Agent. Buckle up. This is a THREAD 🧵 I loved my time at the CIA.I#I left the CIA not because of some disagreement or dissatisfaction, but because I didn’t want to be overseas anymore. I would work counterterrorism stateside, at the FBI. I had never been disciplined during my time at the CIA, it was all positive.

Thread: Let’s talk about why the Oxford HS shooter was charged with terrorism, which is incredibly rare, yet much overdue. This is what I teach so I’d like to break it down in a factual, apolitical way 1/8 The why: The prosecutors sentiment that “we must have an appropriate consequence that speaks for the victims that were not killed or injured but also, they were affected, how do they go back to school?"
