I just finished reading Bitwise's Q2 "Crypto Market Review"

It was full of cool insights, and honestly, I think everyone should give it a read.

But if you are short on time, I've summarized my favorite part here. 👇🧵

(spoiler: it will make you want to buy more BTC). 1. Performance of Major Assets and Assets Classes

This table gives a good overview of BTC's incredible performance over the past decade: since 2011, it’s been the top-performing asset 11 out of 14 years. A true outlier. table showing the performance of major asset and asset classes every year

After the "Sell in May and go away" meta, my timeline is now full of "summer is boring for crypto"

But is this actually real? Let's crunch the number👇 Table showing bitcoin return in summer Assumptions that I used for this study:
-Focus on BTC
-Analysis starts in 2016
-I defined summer as: 1st June to 30th September

Looking at the past 8 years of data, we see that 50% of summer were in the red and 50% in the green.

Av perf: 8.4$
Min perf: -35.4%
Max perf: 79.2%

Every one is talking about the VC + CEX cartel where teams are pushed to launch at the highest possible FDV on tier-1 CEX and provide exit liquidity for VC and insiders

The result: New coins are not great investment anymore

But how real is this? I crunched the number for you 👇 Looking at all the new listing of the past 6 months on the largest CEX, Binance, we note that >80% of tokens are down from their listing date.

The only exceptions are:

- $MEME: A meme coin
- $ORDI : No tier 1 VC
- $JUP + $JTO: Big Solana momentum
- $WIF: Another meme coin table showing the performance on new listing on Binance year-to-date

Do you have enough non-debt money? This is a question that @RayDalio is asking you.

And if someone like Ray (one of the best investor of all time) makes this stance, my bet is that you better listen.

I've summarized the main points of his piece here 👇

linkedin.com/pulse/do-you-h… Good money = a good medium of exchange + a good store of wealth + widely accepted around the world

Today, the most globally recognized and accepted form of money is the dollar, then to a lesser extent the euro, the yen, or the Chinese renminbi.

THE MEME COIN REBELLION - A BOLD THESIS

I'm convinced that we're only at the beginning of a big run for meme coins this cycle.

In fact, it's likely going to be the place to find the most asymmetric opportunities in crypto.

Here's my full thesis on meme (+ my top picks) 🧵 meme of a "Pepe" holding a beer Agenda for today:

-The rise of financial nihilism
-Why meme coins are gaining so much traction
-The meme coin supercycle
-My top picks

This is going to full of alpha.

Over the last few weeks, there has been a notable shift towards BASE.

After witnessing the crazy meme coin season on Solana, I'm convinced that BASE will soon be home to a lot of +$1B meme coins this cycle.

Here's an in-depth analysis of BASE (+ my top meme coin picks) 🧵 Agenda for today:

• BASE - A quick overview
• The bullish case for BASE
• Why meme coins could be huge there
• My top 4 meme on BASE (which still has a lot of upside potential)

Let's dig in.

The LFG launchpad built on DLMM's pools from @JupiterExchange is a game changer.

However, it seems that many have not yet grasped its full potential and how the $JUP airdrop marks an inflection point in how projects may be able to raise money on-chain.

Let me try to explain 🧵 @JupiterExchange Among the diverse product lines offered by Jupiter, they have developed an innovative way to organically launch new projects: the LFG Launchpad.

With this, their goal is to build a support system for fair on-chain launches and adress the problems of current launchaps design.

Decentralized Science (DeSci) has recently emerged as a promising narrative.

Many believes that it is similar to what DeFi was back in 2020: a nascent sector with the potential to challenge the status quo using blockchain technology.

But can it truly fulfill its promises? 🧵 Before we get in any specifics, let's first cover the basics of what DeSci actually is 🔬

At its core, DeSci attempts to revolutionise the way we do science by leveraging blockchain and the web3 ethos of data ownership, community-centricity, and open-source methodologies. Image

By now, it seems clear, or at least to me, that liquidity and crypto are related (if not, check out the work of @RaoulGMI or @CryptoHayes)

But so far, we looked for a pivot in liquidity by focusing on the fed fund rate + CPI

Guess what, we might be missing something crucial 🧵 @RaoulGMI @CryptoHayes In the last bull market, QE + 0% fed fund rate led to an enormous surge in liquidity (or monetary debasement).

At the time, everyone talked about the FED Balance Sheet.

And it made sense: the sharp increase in the latter led to a bull market that lasted until the Fed BS peaked Image
