So I got kicked out of a Starbucks tonight. Sort of. Let me set the scene:

This suburban Starbucks is not full, but my group of 6 moms is the oldest group there by 2 decades. We are planning the events for 8th grade graduation. I will not lie; we are the largest group that is actually conversing. Most tables have studying teens & college students.

We are in the back room where there is only one other occupied table of studying teens.

So I'm all grouchy and cranky because of all the fuckers of the world, but I'd like to share a story that I hope will make you smile because it made me laugh so hard I cried last night. It was the annual middle school band concert (my boys were wonderful, of course, as was + my daughter at the high school concert the night before) and there was an unexpectedly long pause because one of the 7th graders needed a new part for his saxophone. The band director gamely tried to keep the audience entertained and solicited jokes from the students on stage. +
