The Origin of the Word Telugu
Recent posts in X have been talking a lot about origin of word Telugu and linking it with the word Trilinga. Let's see what the historians have to say about the same.
In this thread, I'll try to put forth arguments in support and opposing the same... The view that Telugu is derived from Trilinga gained support from the day of the celebrated Poet Vidyanatha who lived in the court of Pratapa Rudra the last of the Kakatiya Kings.

Old city of Hyderabad has a large number of temples to explore.
In this thread, I will post information on 5 of those temples at the southern most tip of the old city - Chandrayangutta.

చెన్నరాయని గుట్ట కాలక్రమంలో చాంద్రాయణగుట్ట అయింది. ఈ ప్రాంతానికి పేరిచ్చిన ఆలయం.
స్వయంభువుగా వెలసిన స్వామి కి ఒక చిన్న విగ్రహం చోళుల కాలంలో ప్రతిష్ఠించారు. స్వామివారికి కుడివైపున గోడలో చతుర్భుజ ఆంజనేయస్వామి ఉంటారు.
