From all that I can tell, this rumor is completely made up by the English internet specifically. (1/7) I've read through a bunch of pages documenting rumors of the rift between Naomi Shindo and Fukuda/Morosawa and this rumor has not come up even once, no matter how exhaustive the discussion.

Destiny wrap-up thoughts! (Before I go back to rewatch a bunch of SEED scenes for deeper thoughts, lmao)

tl;dr I think the show was a mixed bag but all of its issues were present in SEED already while the strengths from SEED are also being played into, making it more divisive. I'm gonna start this out by listing the issues that I agree the show has and that I can definitely see being a turn-off from enjoying it at all. Then to end on a higher note, it's time for stuff that I thought absolutely rocked!

Groundbreaking, showstopping, amazing. Obviously has technical flaws but absolutely succeeds in telling a thought provoking internally consistent and possible-to-stand-alone story with great characters.

If there is one Gundam I could make everyone watch, it's this. A mixed experience. Introduces Cyber Newtypes so I owe it my life, but often drags with battle scenes that stretch out too long without much happening and what is happening can be hard to track.

It has a lot of good, but doesn't come together that well.
