I've shared this pic before, but time to share it again.
It was taken in 2000, long before woke or LGBT rights were common words.
My father is helping me with my bowtie, as I'm getting ready to go to my high school prom with another woman.
I stopped speaking to him in 2019...
..because he couldn't stop picking fights with me about politics, in particular LGBT+ and feminist issues.
Why he chose me to rant about "the gay agenda" I got no idea.
I asked him many times to stop, that I valued my relationship with him more than politics. He never listened.

1🧵I’m an LGBT+ soldier and a 2 year veteran of the International Legion in Ukraine. I have serious concerns about the public behavior of Ukraine’s most well-known LGBT soldier, Sarah Ashton-Cirillo. Full disclosure: I met her in Aug 2022, & had some private issues with her.
2🧵 I first spoke to @SarahAshtonLV in Sep 2022, & met with her for an interview for LGBTQ+ Nation in Kharkiv on 30 Sep. She was interested in talking to another out soldier in Ukraine. I’d had a difficult 6 months in the legion, due to 2 missile strikes & homophobia I endured.

Warning about Ryan Routh: he is not, and never has been, associated with the International Legion or the Ukrainian Armed Forces at all. He is not, & never has been, a legion recruiter. He is misrepresenting himself and lying to many people.
Routh is currently posting on Facebook about getting Afghanistan citizens into the International Legion. He told the New York Times in 2023 that he wanted to get soldiers into Ukraine illegally.
