This thread is about the historical port town of Lakhpat, near Sir Creek. It was named after Rao Lakha who ruled Sindh in the thirteenth century. One tale suggests that it is called Lakhpat cuz daily trade used to amount to 1 lakh Koris. The photos tell a distinct story of its people, society, economy and culture.
