क्रन्दमाना पपाताग्रे खरस्य परुषाक्षरा।

This monumental work of a Siddha poet called ‘Tirumūlar’ consists of 3000 verses under 9 ‘tantras’.The verses have a deep meaning to those who delve into them,& a plain meaning with alliterative words to a lay reader.
This Siddha is said to have come down from the Himālayās to the Vindhyādri which the great Sage, Agastya had adopted as his abode to learn Tamizh.

- When the great demon HiraNyāksha was slain by You (in Varāha avatāra) as a gigantic boar,

Avenged to kill you, didn’t he, O vanquisher of Madhu?

ध्यायतां सकलमूर्तिमीदृशीमुन्मिषन्मधुरताहृतात्मनाम् ।
सान्द्रमोदरसरूपमान्तरं ब्रह्म रूपमयि तेऽवभासते ॥६॥

On your Divine Form (that is the SaguNa Form),
And experiencing the limitless joy of Its sweetness
