Craig Burton, one of the giant of our industry, passed away on July the 20th, 10 years almost to the day after his famous "SAML is dead" presentation at Cloud Identity Summit 2012. Here's a mini thread about Craig.

facebook.com/gcraigburton/p… Everyone using a computer today owes something to Craig, if anything for the sheer fact that he co-founded Novell, the company that ushered the modern networking era. There's a beautiful piece about him on Forbes that touches on it. facebook.com/gcraigburton/p…

As the draft sessions for @Identiverse start pouring in, I thought it might be useful to share Vittorio's NON OFFICIAL advice on presentation fundamentals.
I have been reviewing 100s of decks in the past 2 decades: I know there are recurrent issues that are easy to prevent. 1/n Consider having an agenda slide. 1/18 Looking back at some of the most notable books I've read in 2020. It's a pretty eclectic mix!
I don't keep track so I am sure I forgetting something, especially if it was in deadtree form. Also, omitting the ones I started and abandoned. 2/18 The Supernova Era

I am a big, big fan of Cixin Liu- love his fiercely imaginative prose in the 3-body series and short stories... but I was bummed by this book.
The plot unfolds so preposterously that the large scale backdrops are grotesque. Pity. amazon.com/Supernova-Era-…
