Points I raised during @BBCNewsnight interview but were edited 1. States with highest cases, absolute numbers or per million cases, neither had Kumbh nor had elections. So data does not support narrative that these events are responsible for second wave.
2. Election is a constitutional process, London mayeoral election will not be postponed due to COVID 3. Kumbh is a tradition of thousands of years. It's not easy to simply close it. But when Prime Minister appealed, religious heads agreed. That's credible.

When in the past USFDA approved any vaccine so rapidly? Or when pharma comoanies could start clinical testing of vaccine within few months of isolation of novel virus? unusual circumstances demand unusual approaches.

Several media outlets including @IndiaToday , @BBCWorld are telecasting interview of "Epidemiologist" Dr Ramanan Lakshminarayan, who predicted that India will have 200 Million Coronavirus cases. So who is Dr Lakshminarayan?
First of all, he is economist and not epidemiologist. He worked with Public Health Foundation of India for 4 years. While working with PHFI, he launched two private companies without PHFI permission. PHFI did not renew his contract in 2016 .

Emergency days are integral part of my childhood memories. Our house was close to RSS HQ in Nagpur. My father and his two brothers were in jail under MISA and third brother remained underground in Assam. My eldest bro was detained in Satyagrha.
Father n one uncle were in Nagpur jail.Meeting them on weekly basis was an essential activity. But not everyone was fortunate. Many arrested frm Nagpur were shifted to Thane, Pune, Nasik. Those families couldn't afford even monthly meetings. 2nd uncle was in Cuttack jail in Odisha
