Yesterday, we saw a surprising number of false and misleading claims about the #ForThePeopleAct by members of the Senate. In this thread, we are going to fact-check some of the disinformation perpetrated by elected leaders in the Senate.⬇️
Claim: “The Corrupt Politicians Act'' would also automatically register to vote anyone who comes in contact with the government….”
Fact: This is FALSE. Automatic voter registration was proposed in S.1. but only US citizens would qualify.
