There is an archaic rule that pharma companies can't advertise their products, nor can baby product companies. Brands also can't have doctors endorsing them, offering the consumers potential medical reasons/benefits.
This is archaic, IMHO and accordingly what I see is a smart move by the brands - they hire foreign doctors, and shoot the TVCs in their clinics and present to Indian consumers.
Another archaic rule currently in vogue is the media-gag - ruled famously by the ecosystem's favorite poster boy Chandrachud and poster ungle Joseph. This Gopakumar has picked a leaf from their book and is using the same.

Coffee (n.), the person upon whom one coughs

Right kind of word during the right time, like now - COVID days, right?

Flabbergasted (adj.), appalled over how much weight you have gained

These are festival days - I'd surely be flabbergasted soon after mid-November - to avoid such shocks, I don't walk past full-length mirrors these days

Abdicate (v.), to give up all hope of ever having a flat stomach.

Broadly an inspiration (!?) from the previous tweet

How much would you need to comb thru the annals of history to find the last annal?

If you pick up one piece from a bomb site where it blew off into smithereens, would you all it a smithereen?
Which other language says that your feet can smell and your nose can run?

Why do we park in a driveway and drive in a parkway?

Why do you say you wear your shoes and socks on, when you actually do it in reverse order?
If blueberry is blue, what is strawberry? And then what is huckleberry?

Why are guinea pigs called so when they are neither pigs nor from Guinea?

Why do you say you drink a hot cup of coffee when it is actually the coffee that is hot?

My thoughts as a thread

Every action has a consequence (call it, say, Karma)

The choice of giving liberal marks in subjects which have subjective evaluation method, unfortunately, has ONLY bad consequences. Let me explain.
It sets expectations high. It tells, subtly or otherwise, that all systems are there to be broken, including subjectivity. In a deeper sense, it makes life a complete binary (in the expectation of the people who are brought up with such objectivity in subjective situations)
Unfortunately, in doing so, it doesn't prepare those students for real life. Having been brought up in binary situations, they approach life in a black-or-white, one-or-zero mentality.

As you can expect, it hits them with a 100-ton force!

In late Dec-1971, when communal violence targetting Muslims reached Thalasseri, Kerala, a prominent young CPI-M leader Vijayan Koran & MV Raghavan had been given charge by CPI-M of protecting mosques ...
allegedly targeted by the RSS. Their goal was to make the Muslims believe that the communists were the saviors of Muslims. Vijayan Koran and his comrades travelled in the riot-hit regions with microphones and requested people to maintain harmony.
They appealed the people not to fall into the communal propaganda while some research shows was unleashed by themselves.

They stood guard at mosques which the mobs had targeted for destruction, and one of them, UK Kunjiraman, lost his life in that defence on January 4, 1972.

A very favorite subject of mine is this - how Big Pharma and Big Food companies have cheated consumers using sugars, while Big Researchers have lived a life of being paid off by the Big Brother Companies.
To start with read this article on Nat-Geo magazine (2013/08) still worth reading

Sugar is a drug - yes, you read it right, Sugar is nothing but a drug.

If you bring up a child with home-made non-sugary foods, the child doesn't start life with chocolate or sweet addiction. At least the initial 5-10 years you can have the child kept away from sugar.

However, in the middle of life, if the child moves into sugar, the addiction is

Granny’s message on Work from Home

A youngster was attending a video a conference with his Manager and his Manager was upset over the background noises, the Youngster turned around and told his grandmother to keep quiet.

@kalpavirksha @KalpanaSubrama5

She walked towards the youngster to take a look into what he was doing, she saw a person on the Monitor & asked “who is he?”

The youngster muted his audio and video by stating that “he is my Manager”

@anexcommie @aparnasridhar7

She said “I want to talk to your Manager”, But the youngster denied by the time the Manager started pinging the youngster and the youngster unmuted to talk and his grandmother shouted “Manager I want to talk to you"

5. Brahmins were so oppressive that Jeebus decided to hang on the cross; but the even more oppressed Jews decided they'd have none of it. Even as he was hanging, they slammed those nails on him.
6. Brahmins were so oppressive that they kept on chanting mantras. Hearing their mantras, the Samurais took out their katanas, & beheaded THEMSELVES

7. Brahmins kept on conducting homams everywhere they went; hence Abraham migrated from Ur of the Chaldeans all the way to Israel.
8. Brahmins propitiated the Gods so much that they decided to carve a perfect black cube and present them. But one group of Brahmins got so angry that they cursed the Black Cube as it descended towards India. The curse took the Black Cube to you-know-where!

Paternal Grandfather had uncertain income due to drama actor role. Often would disappear from home, seeking employment. When he was back, was instrumental in creating the village we are blessed with today (in the number of relatives / cousins, not the land)
Maternal Grandfather, despite being the eldest and most docile, died early, leaving mom, periyamma and chithi + mama at the mercy of their uncles. Got lands appropriated (within the relatives and outside, due to contract farming (by you-know-who))
Mom, considered the smartest in her family (including cousins), couldn't study beyond 5th standard, due to economic conditions.

Mama went on to study his degree and became a teacher ... Chithi studied her graduation and joined the Excise Dept!

Annadurai, Karunanidhi, MGR and Jayalalitha - with their own refined brand of free-bie politics made sure that TN stayed regressed. None of the promised social reforms happened. Power "allegedly" transferred & dominant caste names changed.
Their bogeyman, the Tam-Brahm, was hounded, humiliated, guillotined and excommunicated. The Tam-Brahms in TN are a pale shadow of their chequered past and importantly, the younger generation is either deracinated (coopted under social pressure) or successful emigrants elsewhere.
Never given to violence, but victims of violence themselves, they left their ageing parents and not-so-eligible brethren back in TN, while the capable ones moved on.

The muscular castes were squabbling among themselves, driven by the greed of money, power and honor.

The shamelessness of one of the backpfeifengesicht candidates like @americai sir knows no bounds

Very easy to ascribe blame on anyone's death upon Modi, isn't it? I wish all the karmic responses for such utterances soon visits you too ... read this up, Sir and repent ...
... for the day of reckoning is near (not that Jeebus returning day, that won't happen, but this is something about our own day of meeting the Maker)

Here is a story for you to consider repenting:
A sage was once sitting in front of his home weaving a basket. He heard someone calling out ‘Ram Ram’ and walking along the road but could not see him. He asked his sister who was calling out the name of God.

What do we hear?
Brahmins oppressed "lower" castes

Who created castes?
Portuguese & other Europeans

Did India have castes in the past?
No, she did not

Did India have social classification in the past?
Yes, she did
Who says India had castes?
Europeans and Marxist historians

Are they truthful?
Alternative reading does leave us a room of doubt about their claims to & assertion about veracity
Why do you say that?
The Europeans, who didn't know Earth was round or Earth is billions of years old or the number ZERO & calculus existed, should need a credibility to make a claim about Indian history

How about Marxists?
They are falsifiers of history - don't we know that?

This was always the game ... by Abrahamics ... now out in the open in the electronic media too
When you read the history of slavery, listed in the BTQ-Books, and their chroniclers, you'd realize that their joy is unparalleled when they achieve these goals

(1) attack the sanctum sanctorum of the conquered natives,

(2) kill the knowledge bearers,
(3) demolish their architectural marvels,

(4) enslave their women,

(5) buy out their weaklings (weak links)

(6) destroy their social cohesion

The attack on Hindus is motivated at various levels.

Since the dawn of modern history of invasion, Hindus have been targeted as if they were easy pickings. Probably they were.
The historical invasions, as if, at the drop of a hat, it was a holy duty for the Moonie Marauders, whether from Arabia, Persia, Turkey or CA-stans, were all motivated by the evil exhortations in a vile book propagated by the schizophrenic pedophilic broken-tooth bandit
Never satiated, never replused completely due to random interpretations of scriptures (Dharmic treatment to such Mlechhas, for starters), never uprooted forever ... they kept coming back even after getting royally beaten back.
