Having many doctors in the family (India & US) and knowing them/their finances closely, can very much relate to it:

Perhaps you can get away from point 3 if the kid is very studious or exceptionally smart. @pvsubramanyam @Wealth_Park @brindarana 1. Doctors start earning late: Imagine missing 10 years of compounding!! The fun and adventurous years!! Plus one can take risks in twenties and still do well in life.
