I’m in Springfield, MO for a client meeting and just had a nice chat with the front desk clerk at my hotel about the loss of print newspapers. Pre COVID almost any hotel I stayed at had print copies of the NYT, USAToday, and the local paper.
Now it’s a rarity- I’ve only been able to get the paper at a hotel once post-COVID. Usually I just get a very weird look from the clerk. But at my hotel here the clerk lamented that he worked here because he used to operate the press at the local paper before that was shut down.
